There is an art to throwing a good book launch. Long gone are the days of warm white wine and limpid company. Now it’s all sparkling conversation, gorgeous frocks and the essential excellent booze.
At least, that’s held true for the launches I’ve attended recently where the wine and words flowed and the evenings elided into after parties, dinners and a great deal of fun.

As you can see, a very good time was had by all.
